Position Details
Within the Investment Banking Division ("IBD"), the Solutions team consists of Derivatives professionals focused on helping corporate, sovereign and financial sponsor clients identify and manage risks across interest rates, FX, commodities, equity-linked, credit and structured finance.
As part of the Financing Group, the Solutions team works with clients to provide strategic risk management services to our clients (corporates, sovereign wealth funds, and private equity clients). Solutions team works closely with core investment banking groups, financing and sales and trading teams to enhance product breadth, analytical capabilities and the overall client franchise.
Analysts/ Associates are integral members of the team and are actively involved in all aspects of the risk management, advisory and execution process including: origination, pricing, structuring , financial modelling, and execution of various types of risk solutions
RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS
Responsibilities
- Utilise knowledge of corporate finance, derivatives and financing to assist with the client dialogue and solutions
- Develop proficiency (including pricing and structuring skills) in macro markets and products including: interest rates, FX, commodities, equity-linked, credit and structured finance product
- Interact with clients and other groups at Goldman Sachs
- Prepare and analyze complex financial and pricing models and company financial statements
- Coordinating with securities division colleagues when required on pricing and execution
- Prepare presentations and marketing materials
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree plus minimum two year experience in relevant role
- A keen, long-term interest in corporate finance, coupled with a demonstrated interest in financial markets and risk management
- Ability and interest in transitioning between multiple topic areas (FX, Rates, Commodities, Equity-linked, Credit, Structured Finance)
- Strong attention to detail
- Drive, enthusiasm, creativity and excellent interpersonal skills
- Strong quantitative and technical abilities
- Ability to work as part of a team in an environment that demands excellence, time and energy
- Mandarin is required and other Asian languages highly preferred
