Visiting Faculty of Finance

Job Description Summary: The School of Business Administration at Oakland University seeks to fill a one-year visiting faculty position in finance starting August 15, 2021. The person who fills this position will likely teach undergraduate and MBA level courses, and might be expected to assist the department chair with administrative activities. Class sizes are moderate. Summer teaching is available. The salary is competitive and the fringe benefits are excellent. Preference will be given to candidates who demonstrate the potential to be effective in teaching. Relevant professional and/or industry experience is also desirable. Applicants must also demonstrate experience with or a commitment to diversity and inclusion. Minimum Qualifications: A master's degree in finance or related areas (including MBA) or a Ph.D. in finance or related areas from an accredited AACSB International school. Advanced ABD status will also be considered. Special Instructions to Applicants:: The application packet must include one complete set of: 1) a letter of interest demonstrating how the required qualifications are met; 2) a complete vita; 3) unofficial transcripts; 4) evidence of teaching effectiveness, and 5) a diversity statement. The diversity statement should describe the candidate's interests or efforts in furthering diversity and inclusion, e.g., through mentoring, pedagogy, activism, or research on issues related to diversity and social inequality.
