Senior Business Analyst, Treasury, Capital Management Group

Steelcase is looking for a global Senior Business Analyst, who independently applies advanced skills to complex and ambiguous situations, is able to influence business partners and works effectively across a variety of organizational levels. You are expected to support global treasury needs, as well as integrate with the broader finance team including working closely with local finance teams, corporate financial reporting, finance leadership and tax. The Senior Business Analyst will also work cross functionally outside finance, is expected to be the subject matter expert in Americas treasury (US, Canada and Mexico), will also be expected to engage in global treasury matters.
What you will be doing: Daily cash management activities including working closely with financial analysts on the forecasting of cash flow, overseeing the liquidity position of various locations and owning the critical task of ensuring adequate funding to these businesses. You will need to independently apply advanced cash management skills, while exercising sound judgement in decisions. You will maintain the bank account/cash management infrastructure, modifying as necessary to support changes in the business. This includes support of uncommitted lines of credit for short term needs, bank guarantees or letters of credit, and bank treasury solutions. You will maintain bank relationships, conduct periodic bank fee analysis ensuring relationship economics are appropriate. You will ensure bank access controls are designed and administered appropriately.
Liquidity management also includes periodic activities to fund our subsidiaries via intercompany loan management and recapitalizations, and repatriation via subsidiary dividends post detailed financial analysis of the subsidiaries’ business, often working closely with local finance teams and our global tax team.
Foreign exchange –you will complete complex analysis of exposures on a global basis and propose risk mitigation strategies including hedging, as well as complete transactional FX trading and FX reporting as part of our financial close activities.
You will assist in the monitoring of the global capital structure to ensure components of liquidity, earnings, dividends, and share repurchases remain in the optimal balance. Assist in maintaining external debt structure, including covenant compliance reporting, etc.
Special projects – from time to time you will be involved in special projects that can include driving working capital improvements or analyses related to the capital markets among other critical treasury related projects.

Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field.
