Union: 00 - Non Union, Exempt or Temporary



  • Advanced knowledge of sponsored research regulations, research fund oversight, and standard financial software (e.g. Excel)

  • Demonstrated ability to assess priorities and manage multiple complex activities in a time-sensitive environment.

  • Experience negotiating with senior financial officers at organizational level on behalf of local interests

  • Demonstrated success hiring, training, mentoring, and retaining a team, and in fostering a productive and inclusive work environment

  • Advanced relevant degree, e.g. MBA

  • Experience in academic research administration and complex grants management

  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills

  • Team player with a strong sense of personal responsibility and integrity

  • Exceptionally well organized with an ability to think through and solve problems on short notice.

  • Creative and effective in designing, implementing and maintaining effective systems for financial operations and practices.

  • Demonstrated leadership role in financial decision making at local and organization levels
