Job Objective/ Description
The Strategic Cost Management and Digital Value Capture team is responsible for driving strategic transformation programs focused on the efficiency agenda for the Bank across Singapore and the region. It is a high-performing, high visibility team housed within Group Finance and works closely with the Group CFO and senior business stakeholders on cross-functional projects that support and enable the Bank to deliver its broader financial and non-financial objectives.
The successful candidate will be a critical team member in Cost Allocation programme - a Bank-wide transformation programme that redefines the way cost is allocated across business/ support units and customer segments, as well as at a product- and customer-level based on their 'consumption'/ 'usage' of resources.
The Bank is leveraging Big Data to provide transparent and granular linkages between cost allocation and its underlying drivers. The team is tasked with delivering the end to end methodology for all markets as well as its implementation through an industrial solution. A well-designed and executed solution will enable the Bank to better manage its cost as well as drive behaviour change.
We are seeking a candidate with strong data analytics background to:
Lead the cost allocation prototype model (Python-based) across all Group countries, including:
Gaining a strong understanding of the cost allocation methodology
Implementing the methodology by building upon the existing Python-based prototype model and making refinements/ enhancements as required based on business input
Maintaining the model and ensuring consistency across markets
Lead data gathering and analysis across functions, working closely with business stakeholders to:
Define/ articulate business requirements from a data perspective
Deep dive into large volume of data to ensure usability (incl data cleaning as required)
Ensure data is in the right format to be consumed by Python-based prototype model
Support discussions with business on data insights
Support the team to put together materials for business presentations, summarising data insights
Requirements
The successful candidate in this challenging and demanding role should be:
Must be comfortable with Python
7-10 years of work experience, preferably in a data analytics/ data engineering/ data science field
Familiar working with large volumes of data
Structured and able to work step-by-step
Resilient and able to work under stress
Adaptable and independent
Self-starter with high level of energy, commitment and focus to drive results
