Director of Finance, Touchstone Climbing Inc.: Position directs and oversees company accounting, from bookkeeping, bill paying, and budgeting to reporting, financial analysis, and participation in top level strategic planning. The job requires continued evaluation and improvement of system integration—accounting software with POS, payroll, banking, and other platforms. Monthly soft closings and reporting must leverage end of year GAAP reporting requirements and tax preparation.
Bachelor’s degree in an area of finance, accounting, or Business Administration, preferred also an MBA or CPA. Over 7 years’ experience in the field, with a strong understanding of accounting theory, principles, and practices. Understanding of time value of money and the analysis of strategic alternatives. Fundamental knowledge of database architecture and extraction methods, like .csv to spreadsheet analysis. Strong preference given to individuals that share a passion for personal recreation—we are a part of the fitness industry and most employees are outdoor enthusiasts, which helps mold our culture.
