The School of Accounting, Finance, Information Systems and Business Law invites applications for a 9-month tenure track position in finance for Fall 2021 at the Associate or Assistant Professor level. Rank will be determined at point of hire. Review of applications will begin immediately and will continue until a candidate has been selected for hire.
Preference will be given to those with experience teaching finance. A Ph.D. in finance or related field is required. Start date is August 2021. Applicants who are ABD will be considered provided successful dissertation defense occurs prior to December 31, 2021. Confirmation of defense date will be required.
The normal teaching load is three courses (nine credit hours) per semester, with the possibility of some teaching responsibilities using on-line methodologies. The teaching load may include courses in investments, financial institutions, corporate finance and financial planning. A commitment to active engagement with professionals in the regional business community is expected. Scholarship should pertain to the areas of teaching. Additional service responsibilities include advising students and other service assignments as designated by the School director. Moreover, candidate must meet the AACSB accreditation requirements regarding academic qualification of college of business faculty. The AACSB requirements for academic qualification mandate a minimum level of relevant research and publication.
A Ph.D. in finance or related field is required. Applicants who are ABD with a fixed dissertation defense date on or before December 31, 2021 will be considered.
Degree must be from an AACSB accredited institution.
Preference will be given to those with experience teaching finance at the undergraduate and graduate levels in person (face-to-face) and in online modalities. Candidates possessing a CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) or CFP (Certified Financial Planner) certificate will be given strong consideration.
