A key member of the Treasury team, the Senior Treasury Analyst is a lead position collaborating with all Treasury Team members. Participates in all corporate treasury disciplines (cash management, debt management, investments and risk management) with an emphasis in supporting City of Hope’s, financial strategy, liquidity management structure, capital structure development, quantitative modeling, financial analysis, rating agency strategy, development of daily dashboard/reporting, and card brand relationship management.
The Senior Treasury Analyst primary responsibilities are to assist in managing investment banking (corporate finance) relationships, industry analyst’s requests, rating agencies presentations, participate in short and long-term financings, adherence & validation to covenants, recommending alternative financings, including but not limited to oversight of fund use of borrowed proceeds, execution of various compliance certifications, and formulate responses to rating agency inquires.
The Senior Treasury Analyst will lead in the development of capital & operating analysis, cash flow forecasts & schedules, oversight of short-term investments, develop enterprise-wide policies and procedures, train team members and identify process improvements in support of the mission and values of the City of Hope.

Treasury & Financial Strategy:
The senior treasury analyst will engage in advisory-based financial transactions, perform analytical and quantitative analysis that support the long-range strategic initiatives of the hospital while assisting with the daily operations of the treasury department.
Responsibilities will focus on liquidity management, complex cash flow forecasting, assist in raising of financial capital, evaluation of alternative financings, oversight of committed/uncommitted credit lines ensuring appropriate liquidity levels and resources are identified to support the daily fund requirements as well as potential M&A projects.
The senior treasury analyst will interface with key executive management and bank counterparties in the performance of their responsibilities. Preparing liquidity projections that include financial impacts with potential solutions/recommendations, including amounts available on multiple financing facilities, asset valuations, perform calculations for the settlement of cash flows and interest, and assist with determining financing assumptions (borrowing rates, collateral market value, line capacity, etc.).
Research and determine most efficient means of financing of assets (long or short term), using eligibility criteria on financing lines, cost of funds and collateral characteristics.
Review contractual agreements for financial collateral and compliance requirements. Issues (senior management level) reports including presentation development and support as requested.
Work closely with commercial banks and investment bankers to ensure that the collateral pledged is within the eligible criteria for the financing facilities.
Assist in the coordination of annual commercial bank reviews as well as rating agency requirements (meetings, tours, presentations, etc.) of the hospital.
Serves as subject matter debt expert responding to corporate accounting questions and valuation matters.
Assist in various finance treasury process improvements, conduct research & reporting of peer group and financial data (portal) management.
Provide quantitative analysis and financial modeling support for various initiatives and ad-hoc projects as assigned.
The Senior Treasury Analyst is responsible for the department Annual Operating Budget and will assist with the development of budget (to include expense and purchase order annual dollar amounts) and creation of consolidated department (Treasury administration, Treasury Operations and Investments) reporting, issues monthly/quarterly variance reports, identifies cost-saving and profit maximizing opportunities and conducts research into variances and determines explanations ensuring department goals are achieved.
Merchant Services is the department lead responsible for Treasury’s merchant payment options. Prepares and documents merchant policies and procedure(s), make recommendations on card brand strategy, participates in negotiating contractual agreements with payment processors, credit card companies, payment service providers, payment gateway companies.
Works closely with merchant financial services internal representatives to ensure appropriate level of coverage to meet the various business models of the hospital.
Serves as subject matter Treasury Department Payment Card Industry (PCI), responsible for compliance requirements and written responses, and develop/host/conduct annual internal training.
Provide financial support/work on additional ad-hoc projects as assigned.
Alternate support to Manager or Director of Treasury Operations as determined.
Basic education, experience and skills required for consideration:
5 years of related experience in Corporate Treasury, commercial banking or Investment Banking.
Advanced spreadsheet and modeling skills, ability to analyze data and formulate recommendation/solutions
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, including ability to prepare materials for and clearly and effectively communicate to internal and external audiences.
Documentation of complex process flows and drive process improvements.
