TheSenior Manager Finance Innovation and Transformation (FIT) position manages people and processes related to leveraging automation, data analytics, and continuous improvement to support the success strategies of the broader Accounting & Finance (A&F) teams under the Office of the Chief Financial Officer (OCFO). The role works cross-functionally with business partners in A&F and throughout the company to review and prioritize a pipeline of changes related to financial systems, processes, and procedures to support the company's strategic objectives. The role manages cross-functional workstreams within A&F in the delivery of approved changes with a focus on results that improve controls, reduce risks, and improve efficiency and effectiveness. This role is expected to leverage effective communication skills to translate complex requirements and solutions with a passion to learn and develop.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Serve as a strategic thought leader and interpret functional needs of accounting/finance team and translate into solutions using data and establish advanced analytics tools such as Alteryx, Tableau, PowerBI, and other cognitive and emerging technologies, establish digitally enabled operating models to ensure accurate and reliable data necessary for GAAP and SOX compliance;
Assist in significant ad-hoc projects including streamlining existing processes and development of transformation and change management programs for digital technology process implementations; and ensure compliance with Internal controls and GAAP
Understand big data in the accounting system and integrate findings in to accounting/finance deliverables
Collaborate with external consultant and partner with cross-functional teams including Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A), Accounting, Tax, Treasury, Accounts Receivables & Payables, Compensation, Financial Reporting and Internal Audit to optimize digital projects according to impacts, priorities, budget and resource availability
Work with OCFO leadership to provide analytics support, developing recommendations and implementing analytical approaches and methodologies to capture the critical, actionable data to achieve business goals
Actively use digital visualization tools to prepare results of data analyses in graphical form and to varying degrees of detail for the respective target audience
Understanding of Accounting & Finance function and the people, process, and technology that support the finance function
Evaluate the ROI of new emerging technologies, best practice operating models and opportunities to optimize analytics across the organization
Apply knowledge of accounting principles, best practices and technologies to develop tools that provide actional business insight to assist the Company’s Accounting business function
Keep abreast of industry best practices, monitor competitive and market trends to drive new features and innovative digital solutions
Create external partnerships to continuously learn, engage, pilot and deploy emerging technology solutions in agreed upon finance and accounting focus areas

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.
Master's degree in Analytics, Finance, Information Systems, or related field is preferred
4-6 years of experience working in large, matrixed Retail organization
2-4 years of focused experience in Business Process Re-engineering, Standardization and Continuous Improvement.
Demonstrated experience in managing complexities of competing priorities and program inter-dependencies
Prior experience in public accounting
CBAP, Lean Six Sigma - Black Belt Certification
