Accordingly they have successfully attracted and recruited talented industry professionals to join the firm with a focussed ambition to build long-term and strategically aligned relationships with their clients, suppliers and portfolio businesses.
The investment team is lean and nimble, supported by a strong and robust Operations, Finance and Asset Management function consisting of both in-house and outsourced expertise. As the business has grown quickly, a need has been identified for a talented, dedicated and hands-on Head of Fund Finance to join the team and to interface with both internal and external professionals. The primary role of this individual will be to ensure that operational oversight remains optimal and that senior stakeholders and investors continue to receive proper information and feedback throughout the investment lifecycle.
The role will report to the Chief Operating Officer and will have broad responsibilities across the company to support a wide variety of business activities. This will include:
Lead, organise and manage the investment finance function (mostly UK and Luxembourg based LLP's)
Manage a variety of stakeholders and service providers
Depending on the background of the candidate, the role may also have a wider operational focus, potentially including Compliance, Human Resources and other operational functions
The Successful Applicant
The role holder must be a qualified accountant (ideally ACA) with strong investment finance experience. They will have an excellent academic record and be technically strong with extensive, hands-on Limited Partnership exposure - ideally from either infrastructure investment or private equity. They must also be able to understand and evaluate company financial statements and accounts and have strong skills in financial analysis.
In terms of soft skills, the individual must be a strong and proven stakeholder manager for internal and external customers, suppliers and other counterparties.
They should be dynamic, intelligent, credible and flexible with an inquisitive mind-set and a can-do mentality. They should also be willing to travel to portfolio company sites in the UK and Europe as required.
