The Financial Planning and Reporting Analyst will provide analysis, planning and decision support coverage to company leaders with a focus on establishing and executing best practices in financial reporting, forecasting & budgeting, and modeling activities. The selected candidate will partner closely with the business to identify and operationalize the tracking of key financial metrics, analyze and provide visibility into current performance against those metrics. The position reports to the CFO. Cadence has 4 different locations: Staunton, VA; Cranston, RI; Cranberry Township, PA; and Sturgeon Bay, WI. This position is located in our corporate offices in Staunton, Va but may also travel to other locations.

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in a financial or accounting field required.
Ideal candidate has worked for a company with FP&A function, Private Equity firm, Private Equity owned Firm, or investment banking firm and is familiar with the requirements, pace, and demands of this field of work.
Ability to learn and use tools (Tableau, Crystal, Prophix, Excel, etc.) to access various company databases and extract data into informative reports.
General understanding of database structures and tables and ability to learn how and where data entered into systems is stored in databases
Ability to present financial analysis in clear concise methods both verbally and written. Power point skills a must.
Understands financial analysis, typical business metrics, modeling, etc.
Understanding of GAAP and IFRS financial reporting requirements a plus!
Overview of General Responsibilities of the Role:
Produce financial reports to include but not limited to:
Monthly Flash revenue and EBITDA report
Internal monthly financial reports
Monthly/quarterly Executive Committee financial slide deck including financial bridge analysis
Produce Weekly cash flow projection (13 week cash flow report) and comparison to actuals. Evaluate differences and apply lessons learned to future projections.
Produce Monthly and quarterly lender reporting, MD&A, covenant compliance certificates, covenant test.
Lead/assist development and implementation of new financial reports including any new processes or process changes necessary to implement. Maintain reporting once implemented.
Lead and coordinate annual budget process. Analyze and prepare material for presentation.
Maintain “puts and takes” from budgets, forecast, long-term plans to maintain a rolling view of the financial projections
Lead formulation and maintenance of 5 year financial plan working with key company leaders
Support acquisition efforts through modeling and analysis of impact to various Cadence plans
Analyze company reports and data to identify trends for company, locations, departments, etc. and present to appropriate personnel for action.
Governmental reporting (surveys, etc.)
Develop ad hoc financial reports as requested
