Baylor University is seeking an Assistant Vice President and Controller. This is a career defining opportunity for a dynamic leader with excellent analytical, management, and communication skills and extensive knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and governmental grants and contract requirements, as well as financial accounting, audit, tax, reporting, grants and financial business operations supporting a research institution.
The successful candidate for this position will:
Have a record of success navigating complex environments, preferably in a research university
Have a record of success working effectively with individuals at all levels, including the Board of Regents
Have a thorough understanding of financial reporting requirements and processes
Have extensive experience with financial, reporting, and accounting systems
Have excellent communication, organization and time management skills
Qualifications A Bachelor's degree in accounting, more than 10 years of relevant work experience, a current CPA license and a Christian faith are required. A Master's degree and more than 10 years of relevant work experience are preferred.
