The BIS seeks a Product Controller to join its Finance Department. You will be part of a team that develops and maintains advanced management reports on financial performance, and produces the financial statements for the BIS, as well as for its pension fund and investment pools. Your main responsibility will be to ensure that valuations of financial instruments are accurate and up-to-date in compliance with market best practice. You will help design and implement processes to calculate the Bank’s valuation reserves. In addition, you will also be expected to develop and analyse the performance decomposition and forecasting for the BIS’s banking business. Join us, and become a key point of contact for management and the Bank’s auditors on all product valuation-related issues.
We would like to meet candidates with a university degree in a quantitative discipline, as well as a primary accounting qualification. A recognised qualification, or relevant experience, in financial mathematics would be a further advantage. You will have several years of work experience in a valuation-related role, and detailed knowledge of fixed income and foreign exchange products, as well as IFRS and banking operations.

The BIS’s head office is located in Basel, Switzerland, with representative offices in Hong Kong SAR and Mexico City.
