This is an exciting opportunity to serve as a member of the senior leadership team for MB Foundation, who for 120 years has provided leadership and financial solutions for Biblical stewardship to the Mennonite Brethren community. Built on Biblical values of stewardship, service and integrity, the Foundation continues to be a highly valued partner in meeting capital needs and charitable objectives through broad array of services to include planned giving programs, fund management-with over $190 million currently under management, investment certificates, the MB Loan Fund, and championing a stewardship lifestyle. The Foundation’s commitment to providing these services continues to be strong and success has been found in their passion for furthering the Kingdom of Christ through meeting the needs of the community it serves. This commitment includes strengthening its leadership team and continuing to provide a growing, sustainable revenue base to meet current and future opportunities. In doing so, the Foundation is seeking an individual who will serve as Vice President of Business Development with responsibility for developing and implementing a comprehensive marketing and business development program to support the Foundation’s mission.
Reporting to the President/CEO and working from the Foundation’s office in Fresno, California, the Vice President will lead the development and implementation of a comprehensive, branded marketing and business development plan, focused networking, building new partnerships and opportunities, and nurturing existing relationships. In doing so, he/she will direct the work of three Planned Giving Advisors and work closely with other Foundation staff in ensuring strategies and programs, and their execution, reflect the mission of the Foundation.
The ideal candidate will be a growing disciple of Jesus Christ and fully embrace the Mennonite Brethren community. This Vice President will have a discernable track record of success in developing and implementing a broad range of business development programs to include marketing, branding, communications, and client relations. In addition, he/she will be adept at seeking out and developing partnerships, collaborating with a wide range of individuals and organizations to further identify and develop new ministry opportunities. In addition, he/she will have served in a sales/marketing management role. In short, the Vice President of Business Development will be an entrepreneurial leader with the skills, knowledge and experience to lead the Foundation’s efforts to expand and grow its client base.
