Description: Responsible for the corporate cash management function and short term investment portfolio. Ensures adequate operating liquidity and competitive investment returns. Responsible for the issuance of OPC's commercial paper and frequent interaction with its commercial paper dealers. Evaluate, lead and implement new cash management products and services. Coordinate corporate cash management bank services and relationships. Maintain global treasury workstation. Manages day-to-day interaction with investment managers for reserve funds and nuclear decommissioning assets. Prepare Audit Committee reports on performance of nuclear decommissioning fund investments. Prepare and review Fair Valuation of Investments for quarterly financial statement disclosure. Interact and work closely with numerous departments including Accounts Payable, Fuels & Co-Owned Assets, and Controller Group. Requires close coordination with the Director - Bank and Investor Relations, Director, Capital Markets and Debt Administration and Reporting Manager. Provide daily direction, train, and guide professional development of Treasury Analyst.
BS/BA or MBA in Finance, Accounting, Business or related field
At least ten years of direct experience in cash management/treasury operations
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Working knowledge of online TMS. Must possess strong knowledge of commercial paper programs, short-term investment products and financial instruments. Proficient PC skills; strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to perform financial analysis; general understanding and knowledge of GAAP and bank credit facilities
