Southern New Hampshire non-profit seeks Director of Finance responsible for ensuring the sound financial management and results of the operating, capital and endowment funds of the organization to attain long-term financial sustainability and endowment growth. As an integral part of the senior leadership team, the incumbent is expected to provide strategic direction in developing financial projections to support fiscal strategies and business plans to achieve targeted goals. Responsibilities include budget preparation and reporting, strategic financial analysis, assessment and monitoring of organizational performance and fiscal controls, forecasting, accounting, investment tracking, cash management, compliance and audit preparation. Significant interaction with the Board of Trustees.
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or related field.
Thorough knowledge of non-profit accounting and financial management; Federal and State compliance.
Minimum of 5 years senior level accounting experience, CPA preferred.
Minimum of 5 years supervisory experience.
Strong data management skills and familiarity with accounting software.
Keen analytical thinker and creative problem-solver.
Superior organizational skills with a high attention to detail.
Proven ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines.
Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
Strong relationship management skills and team orientation.
Must enjoy working in a dynamic non-profit environment and approach work with a positive attitude and sense of humor.
