The Cash Manager has responsibility for worldwide cash and currency risk management. Responsibilities include: developing, maintaining, and ensuring global compliance with cash management, short-term investment, currency risk management, and counterparty risk management policies; overseeing daily cash activity, global bank balances, and cash flow forecasting; identifying and implementing banking and vendor cash management systems on a global basis; and, managing currency risk, banking relationships, and bank fees.
Create, maintain, and ensure compliance with global policies regarding cash management, short-term investments, currency risk management, and counterparty risk management.
Serve as the primary relationship manager for Rotary's global banking relationships. Ensure banking services meet Rotary's needs and bank compensation is reasonable. Stay up-to-date with local banking relationships overseen by International Offices.
Periodically conduct banking services reviews to identify new banks and banking services; implement as appropriate.
Identify, implement, and oversee global treasury management workstation provider. Ensure data and payment files are exchanged timely and accurately. Identify and resolve any issues. Collaborate with Corporate Finance & Planning to ensure the cash management module of the ERP system meets their needs.
Oversee cash flow forecasting and ensure global cash balances are invested appropriately and utilized effectively.
Maintain and enhance currency risk management program, including: identifying and measuring currency risks; implementing, monitoring, and evaluating appropriate hedging strategies; and, communicating results of hedging program.
Represent cash management's perspective in cross-organizational initiatives.
Implement banking and armored courier services for Rotary's annual International Convention.
Train, mentor, and coach one direct report in Evanston. Collaborate with and provide cash management guidance as needed to colleagues globally.
Create and monitor annual interest income and bank fees budgets.
Knowledge and Skills
Knowledge of international cash management and currency risk management is essential.
Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills. Ability to work effectively with colleagues and Rotarians from different cultural backgrounds is essential.
Highly motivated and goal-driven with the ability to independently manage several projects concurrently and meet deadlines.
Demonstrated analytical abilities and problem-solving skills. Financial modeling experience is critical.
Detail-oriented, accurate, organized and logical.
Proven decision-making capabilities.
Working knowledge of accounting principles and legal structures.
Advanced Microsoft Excel and intermediate PowerPoint and Word skills.
Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or management required.
Certified Treasury Professional designation required.
Minimum of seven years of international cash management and two years of currency risk management experience required.
Supervisory experience preferred.
Treasury management workstation and Oracle-based ERP systems experience preferred.
Work in a professional multi-cultural office environment adhering to a business casual attire policy. This position will occupy an individual cubical suite equipped with a personal computer, telephone, and other office furniture.
