The Financial Analyst is the Finance representative assigned to directly support members of Senior Management and their teams in the development and analysis of financial processes including planning, forecasting, and reporting. Responsible for the analysis of financial results, effectively translating & communicating financial information to the organization.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities -Provide financial support and subject matter expertise to senior management as well as non-financial managers in preparation of annual plans, financial forecasts, and ad hoc financial analyses in response to business requests - 40%
-Perform variance analysis; assist in the preparation and presentation of financial reporting packages to internal (including Colonial Senior Management members) and external stakeholders (including the Colonial Board of Directors)- 25%
-Partner with various functional areas to identify, communicate, and implement efficiencies and cost savings opportunities through analysis and forecasting - 15%
-Serve as a backup administrator for the enterprise financial planning and reporting system - 10%
-Identify process improvement opportunities and financial synergies - 10%
Minimum Required Bachelor’s degree required in a finance, business or closely related field 2 years of analytical work experience, preferably in a finance or accounting role Experience with large scale ERP systems
Preferred Energy or Utility Industry experience preferred Host Analytics experience preferred
