The Director, Treasury is a key leadership position within the Corporate Finance team reporting to the Chief Financial Officer. This position has overall accountability for leading the global Treasury function, including development and oversight of capital structure and funding strategies, cash and liquidity management, corporate financial management and treasury operations and controls. The ideal candidate will have held the position of Treasury Manager / Assistant Treasurer with capital markets experience, and possess strong financial and analytical skills.
Oversee treasury operations including cash management, short-term investments, cash forecasting, borrowing, bank fees and bank relationships
Lead and coordinate the strategy for raising capital (debt, stock, other) and deploy capital (including share repurchases); oversee execution of financing agreements and deal execution
Provide leadership and direction to the treasury operations team on both technical and leadership skills
Identify process and system improvement opportunities for the treasury function
Manage the treasury policies, controls and compliance with SOX and other banking/regulatory requirements
Work with other corporate finance functions (accounting, audit, legal) to ensure accurate and timely accounting for matters related to cash, investments, debt and inter-company activity
Execute and manage Libbey’s currency exposure and hedging programs which also inlcude interest rate swaps and natural gas
Lead and/or support special projects in the area of M&A, strategic planning, financing decisions and cost of capital
Requirements & Qualifications:
BS degree in Finance, Accounting or related field
Minimum 15 years of total experience with relevant financial experience including treasury operations, capital markets, business analytics
5 years in a leadership position with proven ability to lead and develop a team
Exposure to the investment community desirable
Strong cash management, capital markets, foreign exchange and capital allocation strategies experience
Strong analytical skills balanced with business acumen, insights and storytelling skills; equally comfortable in both strategic and tactical capabilities
Professional presence and ability to interact with senior management
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate complex ideas in a simple way
A proven track record of problem solving and managing multiple complex projects
