The Senior Consultant, Investment Operations & Audit is responsible for 3 broad areas: coordinating the operations of the asset allocation process for the National Retirement Trust and related programs, ascertaining accuracy of Investment Manager performance and asset reports, and coordinating the compliance management and audit processes of the investment team.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Provide oversight over the investment audit process for the ~$5B National Retirement Trust (pension) and National Retiree Health Program, and ensures that partners, vendors and clients receive timely and accurate representations of NEBA programs.
Accountable for Trust operation processes including:
allocation and asset rebalancing between Investment Managers, Custodian and Clients and
b.) payment of investment manager/vendor fees
Design, implement and oversee the ongoing performance reporting process and reconciliation of data between Investment Managers, Custodian and other Stakeholders. The process will be informed by regular analysis, monitoring and evaluation.
Required Basic Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in Finance, Investments, Operations and/or Accounting, ideally focused on benefit plan investment with significant and regular contact with investment managers and custodian banks.
Experienced/knowledgeable in asset allocation methodology.
Experience presenting to /extensive interaction with executive teams both telephonically and at client sites.
Demonstrated experience working in a fast-paced environment with substantial responsibilities.
